Youth Director

Description:
First Baptist Church of Rogersville, Mo., located in a growing & thriving community, is seeking a Youth Director who will provide visionary oversight and pastoral leadership to the students of First Baptist Church Rogersville. In this position, we are seeking a born-again believer of Jesus Christ who has felt a strong calling from the Lord to minister to students grades 7-12. We desire to see a strong Christ-centered foundation within our student ministry, with the goal of discipling the next generation, raising up leaders, and sending them out.

Youth Director Responsibilities:

1. Provide visionary oversight, leading the student ministry of First Baptist Church Rogersville.
2. Encourage their spiritual growth and challenge them to grow in their commitment to Christ and His mission.
3. Develop and support the leadership team.
4. Plan events (i.e., weekly gatherings, monthly fun events, outreach events, etc.).
5. Involve students in Mission Trip opportunities.
6. Embody and nurture the vision/mission held by First Baptist Rogersville.
7. Connect regularly with other ministry leaders to maintain unity between ministries.
8. Attend all worship services and staff meetings.
9. Provide individualized support, nurturing of gifts, and discipleship.
10. Provide one-on-one discipleship.
11. Desire to grow our student ministry, reaching students for Christ as well as discipling them.
12. Lead a Christ-like lifestyle, praying regularly for those in the youth ministry and church body.
13. Build and maintain relationships with parents of the students.

The Youth Director position is a bi-vocational part-time position. As a member of the Ministry Team, the Youth Director is supervised by the Senior Pastor and shall become a member of First Baptist Church Rogersville.

Qualifications:
Youth Director Qualifications:

1. Is a born-again believer with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
2. A member in good standing of a Southern Baptist Church.
3. God-centered.
4. A Spirit-led “self-starter” able to work without direct supervision.
5. Understands the needs of and has an affinity for young people.
6. Is teachable and open to feedback and accountability.
