Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the day-to-day management of construction projects, including scheduling, documentation, and communications with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Documentation Management: Review and process submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and contracts to ensure accurate project documentation.
  • Field Support: Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, and ensure that work is being performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Cost Control: Assist in tracking project costs, monitoring budgets, and ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the project management and construction teams to resolve issues, support workflow, and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets JB Donaldson's high standards of quality and safety, including compliance with regulatory requirements and company protocols.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
  • 1-3 years of experience in a project engineering or construction management role (internships or co-op experience will be considered)
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, blueprints, and contracts
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety protocols
  • LEED accreditation or PMP certification is a plus but not required

Compensation and Benefits
  • Base Salary: $70,000-$90,000 per year, paid on a bi-weekly/monthly basis.
