Description
The Program Director for GORLOKS AWARE will work in collaboration across Webster University departments and with external service providers to implement the university's program of education, prevention, and victim support around issues of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking (DVDASAS). The position will manage external training opportunities, promote awareness and educate members of the Webster community, and will be responsible for coordinating the university's relationships with essential service organizations and the local police department. The position will also review and recommend updates of relevant policies relating to sex and gender-based misconduct. As a member of the Dean of Students Office staff, this position will report to the Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards. Funding for this position is from a 3-year federal grant from the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW).

Minimum Qualifications

Functional/Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional knowledge of DVDASAS dynamics
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, University policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, relevant local, state, and federal laws
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to sensitive information and files
  • Ability to collaborate and work with a diverse and inclusive community
  • Ability to take initiative and be an assertive self-starter
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships

Preferred Qualifications

Requisite Experience:

  • Master's Degree
  • Two years related professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years grant writing/implementation experience (preferred)
