We currently have a position open in the North Texas & Oklahoma Market for a Regional Sales Director (RSD). The RSD for Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions division increases new business sales through establishing strong, consultative partnerships with major worksite and voluntary benefit distributors including brokers, agents, financial planners, consultants, and employees.

Key accountabilities:

  1. Demonstrate the value proposition to distribution partners.
  2. Achieve annual new business sales, net growth & reenrollment objectives as assigned.
  3. Direct and manage the acquisition process by establishing priorities with the sales support team.
  4. Proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with Sales Implementation, Key Account Managers, Case Underwriting & Marketing.

Prospecting:

  1. Generate new business opportunities by leveraging existing relationships, prospecting new relationships, conducting market analysis, and cold calling channel distributors.
  2. Partner with marketing and product development to create demand in the marketplace.

Reporting & Analytics:

  1. Monitor and report on competition to evaluate Trustmark’s position in the marketplace.
  2. Utilize Salesforce.com for activity reporting, forecasting, and business requests.
  3. Provide monthly reports of pipeline, forecasts, and metrics using Salesforce automation tool.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 3 years of Voluntary product sales or equivalent work experience required.
  2. Experience generating and analyzing reports to enhance sales or customer experience.
  3. Employee benefits and/or life/health insurance knowledge required.
  4. Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and handle conflict with minimal oversight.
  6. Exceptional organizational skills, adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  7. Interpersonal effectiveness with proven ability to establish/maintain mutually respectful relationships.
  8. Licensed agent in your resident state for Life & Health.
