Job Summary:
The Director of Product Development and Operations at Milano Di Rouge is a key leadership role that combines creative and strategic thinking with strong operational management. This role requires a visionary leader who can guide product development, optimize processes, and enhance operational efficiency to ensure Milano Di Rouge remains a leader in the fashion industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a cross-functional team to drive product innovation.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization through production, ensuring product quality and brand consistency.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Initiate and lead discussions with potential strategic partners, successfully negotiating agreements and forging strong partnerships that align with Milano Di Rouge's brand vision.
Team Building and Process Optimization:
- Build high-performing teams within the Product Development and Operations departments, creating efficient processes and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Inventory Management:
- Implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Business Strategy and Growth:
- Contribute to the overall business strategy by identifying growth opportunities, aligning product development efforts with company objectives, and developing innovative strategies to increase market share.
Operational Excellence:
- Streamline operational processes, including sourcing and production, to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve speed-to-market.
Quality Control:
- Maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the product development and production processes to ensure the highest product quality.
Cost Negotiation:
- Collaborate closely with the Design and Production teams to negotiate prices and delivery terms that improve profit margins and accelerate time-to-market.
Design Direction:
- Provide creative direction and input to ensure that product designs align with Milano Di Rouge's brand identity and customer preferences.
Strategic Thinking:
- Apply strategic thinking to guide product development initiatives, partnerships, and operational improvements that drive brand growth and competitiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in leading product development teams, operations management, and successful product launches.
- Strong inventory management skills and strategic thinking ability.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and building strategic partnerships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
