Traffic Engineer

Our San Diego office is looking for a Civil EIT or PE with 2+ years of experience to join our Transportation Planning and Traffic Operations team.

Responsibilities:

• Support and often take the lead on various traffic and transportation planning activities
• Develop traffic impact studies, intersection control evaluations, crash data analysis, GIS analysis and mapping, database development and management, transportation planning, traffic analysis, and other transportation and traffic safety-related duties
• Contribute to the growth of this practice by participating in client meetings, client communication/coordination, mentorship of junior-level staff, and task management while working with a variety of individuals

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of traffic engineering experience
• BS Civil Engineering, preference for MS Civil with focus on transportation
• EIT license
• Experience in preparing and/or reviewing traffic impact studies for small and large projects
• Experience in preparing site access and circulation studies
• Proficiency in using Synchro, VISSIM, and/or other traffic analysis software applications
• Ability to communicate technical thoughts clearly and concisely
• Ability to work well within a team, including both taking direction and supervising
• Excellent technical writing skills
