Job Title: Head of Land Development
Location: Atlanta, GA

Position Overview: The Head of Land Development will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing our land development operations in Atlanta. This individual will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing land development team, transitioning from third-party development partnerships to an in-house model. This role will require a balance of field and office work, with responsibilities split approximately 50/50 (or 40/60 depending on personal preference).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for in-house land development operations.
- Build and lead a talented team of land development professionals.
- Manage all aspects of permitting, and site development.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including design, construction, and sales, to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, contractors, and local government officials.
- Monitor industry trends and local market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in land development, preferably within a high-volume homebuilding environment.
- Proven track record in managing land development projects from conception to completion.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate a team.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and regulatory processes in Georgia and Florida.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
