The Product Portfolio Project Manager will be responsible for managing the portfolio of product introductions, road maps, optimization efforts, and the supportive marketing activities. This dynamic role will project manage a set of multi-faceted projects working cross functionally with key stakeholders across the organization and ensuring projects are executed on time.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for establishing a methodology for managing a portfolio of projects and building the tools to effectively manage the portfolio.
  2. Establishing critical path including milestones for each project and ensuring that all project phases adhere to the agreed-upon timeline.
  3. Planning major project phases and establishing project success factors with input from key stakeholders.
  4. Monitoring execution of all deliverables across multiple projects.
  5. Lead and document cross-functional discussions.
  6. Present portfolio and marketing activity to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  7. Managing internal and external resources as needed to ensure project success and completion.
  8. Assist in troubleshooting and finding solutions to unforeseen issues.
  9. Communicating with stakeholders, team members and others on project status, including progress, risk and any issues that may have an impact on project delivery.
  10. Coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups including R&D, Supply Chain/Planning, Sales Communication, and all functions within Marketing.
  11. Prioritizing risks and their impacts for mitigation/monitoring.
  12. Leverage standard tools to manage the project.
  13. Works to develop direct report(s) and support the achievement of their career objectives.

Required Knowledge & Desired Skills

  1. 7-10 years portfolio and project management experience in managing product introductions or cross department non-technology projects.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree, MBA Preferred.
  3. Commitment to a customer-first approach.
  4. Ability to lead large cross-functional teams on medium to large size projects through all phases of the project life cycle.
  5. Ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
  7. Excellent relationship manager with strong negotiating skills and the ability to facilitate relationships at all levels of the organization.
  8. Proficiency using MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Smartsheet.
  9. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  10. PMP certification a plus.
  11. Role is based in Montvale, NJ with some travel to our R&D facility in Flanders, NJ.
  12. Travel 10-15%.
