Learn more at Position summary: The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be focused on product development in the New Product Development (NPD) team. They will be responsible for providing engineering guidance and project team support for the design, development, and optimization of products, processes, tooling and/or equipment. This position will also provide leadership within NPD projects and be able to provide technical direction, incorporate DFM and assembly principles. Responsibilities Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesResearch, design, and prototype new products based on customer specifications.Initiate and complete technical activities leading to new or improved processes or design for manufacturability for current and next generation programs and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company.Be the key contact for customer projects and work with a team to accomplish customer required activities.Specify and develop tests for product testing.Analyze and solve problems from basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems.Apply principles of Customer Focused Quality in daily activities in order to meet and exceed internal and external customer requirementsUtilize Product knowledge in Neuro and CRM fields to design and develop robust engineering solutions to internal and customer requests.Provide leadership for projects within functionPerform research, design, and development of required equipment purchases to be able to develop product or meet internal goals of the organization.Create, maintain, and approve device routers and bill of materialsDesigns coordinate fabrication and implementation of process fixturing or gaugingAnalyze and map processes, assesses efficiency, and implements complex project activitiesOversee equipment installation, modification, training, and preventative maintenance developmentIdentify, select, and provide justification for capital equipmentSubject matter expert in multiple areas for manufacturing engineeringTechnical expert within the communityMentor and provide guidance to Manufacturing Engineer I, III, III, and Engineering TechniciansParticipate in customer visits, key contact for customer projectsResearch and coordinate new technologies for the businessSupport and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsPartner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and financeParticipate in required company meetingsMaintain an organized work area (5S)Participate in the Operational Excellence ProgramComplete all other work duties as assignedAbility to work in a manufacturing environmentQualifications Job RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or other Engineering Science7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting; including state of the art manufacturing technology/concepts and cost reductionsProduct knowledge in the Neuro and CRM fieldsDemonstrated engineering field of expertise such as mechanical, electrical, biomaterials, etc.Manufacturing process design and validationManufacturing equipment and fixture/gauge designLean manufacturing training skillsAbility to solve a wide range of moderately complex engineering problems in creative and practical waysManage projects of moderate complexityManufacturing automation, including electronic visual inspection3D CAD software (i.e. ProE, Unigraphics, Solidworks, etc.)Excellent communication and influencing skillsHigh level of energy, personal accountability and integrityDetail oriented; checks own work, keeps accurate records, organizes information effectivelyAbility to tolerate ambiguity, multiple priorities and short deadlinesPreferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMaster's Degree in an Engineering disciplineContinuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizationsWhat is it like to work at Cretex Medical?
