Job SummaryPantherTECH in the Business Project Mgmt Office is currently recruiting for students to join their team of professionals. The duties include the following:
- Greeting clients and providing courteous and timely communications, price quotes, simple diagnostics, and product information and demonstrations to clients in order to make sales of products and repair services provided by the computer store.
- Inspecting customer hardware, completes appropriate forms and charging customers for scheduled or rendered services.
- Maintaining Hardware and Software knowledge, researches computer hardware, software, printers, accessories and other peripherals to ensure up to date knowledge of current products sold at FIU Panther TECH retail store.
- Stocking, maintaining and recording inventory in computer store, as needed or assigned by Panther TECH managers. Also, as needed, deliveries on campus.
- Assisting Panther TECH customers with check-out, processing payments and packing products purchased at the store.
- Ensuring all customer service and sales functions are carried out securely and efficiently.
- Communicating and participating with team and other departments to resolve current priority tasks and projects, as well as to provide sound recommendations for process improvements.
Federal Work Study
Desired Qualifications- Retail, customer facing experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interact effectively with others.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professional integrity.
- Effective analytical skills.
- Effective customer service skills, plus excellent communication (oral & written) skills.
- Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
- Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
- Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
