- Do projects in all sectors of commercial construction and have a retail division where this position would be located.
- Self-preform concrete, carpentry, masonry, steel stud, and drywall.
- Strong pipeline of projects through late 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, construction, and close-out of retail construction projects across multiple locations.
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring that all project milestones are met.
- Manage a team of project managers, contractors, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that the project is progressing according to plan.
- Identify and manage potential project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal team members, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure that all project work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
- Oversee the procurement and delivery of construction materials and equipment across multiple locations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets our high standards.
- Mentor and coach junior project managers and construction professionals as needed.
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on retail projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience managing remote teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience working with executive-level stakeholders.
- Knowledge of construction industry codes, regulations, and standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to travel as needed. (max. 1-2 days a month)
- Highly competitive base salary, with consideration given to experience, expertise, and performance. ($115-140k)
