UCLA Anderson School of Management's Master of Science in Business Analytics program (MSBA) has quickly grown to international prominence, ranking either #1 or #2 in the world by QS since inception. MSBA's Career Services department has played a key role in this success. Under the general supervision of the Director of Career Services, the Manager of MSBA Business Development will lead the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) Program's Business Development/Employer Relations function with the primary goal of ensuring continued positive employment outcomes for MSBA students given our program's recent growth coupled with fluctuating market conditions. While assisting the Director of Career Services in the general management of the Career Services department, the Manager of MSBA Business Development is primarily focused on business development.
Position SummaryThe Manager of MSBA Business Development works independently and as a fully participating member of a management team to deliver a wide range of services to students and industry partners. The Manager of MSBA Business Development will work closely with the MSBA Project Manager and MSBA Director of Career Services and report directly to the MSBA Director of Career Services. They will also share responsibility for supervising part-time, limited appointment staff and student workers. This position requires external client management skills and business development or professional sales experience. This position requires excellent written and verbal communications skills, and a high level of computer competency in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms. Salesforce experience is a plus. The Manager of MSBA Business Development must be adept at fostering collegial relationships with MSBA recruiters, applicants, students, faculty, administrators, employers, and external partners and vendors.
Salary & CompensationUCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. - Business Analytics: Knowledge of Business Analytics job markets. (Required)
- Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Word and Excel. Experience with HTML website design and maintenance. (Required)
- Higher Education Experience: Working knowledge of University policies and procedures such as accounting, travel, purchasing, facilities, mail and document services, to coordinate and expedite tasks with associated central offices. (Preferred)
- Communication Skills: Skill in communicating clearly and diplomatically to interact effectively with all Anderson, UCLA and outside constituents using proper English grammar. (Required)
