Position Location: Clinton, Missouri
Summary:
Directs the sales activities of the operation by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Essential Duties:

  1. Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all sales professionals and staff designated in the Sales Department.
  2. Directs sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.
  3. Establishes annual and monthly objectives for sales managers and/or sales staff as well as the sales department.
  4. Leads the diversification of new sales focus for new industries and structures the department accordingly.
  5. Monitors sales individuals' productivity and performance and/or monitors sales management’s productivity and performance.
  6. Regularly communicates and trains with fulfillment and onboarding teams to stay updated on company changes and adjustments.
  7. Administers and monitors sales promotions and internal spiffs.
  8. Makes website recommendations based on feedback.
  9. Makes software recommendations to improve department expenses, efficiency, and productivity.
  10. Reviews market analysis and sales reports to determine customer needs and volume potential, and collaborates with marketing leadership on campaigns to accommodate organizational goals.
  11. Represents the sales department to the executive team.
  12. Provides input and analyzes expenditures to conform with budgetary requirements.
  13. Maintains a professional appearance.
  14. Attends executive meetings as requested.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the sales department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training all positions in the sales department; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and corrective action; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
