Software Engineer

Who we are

Pario is a seed-stage startup with a mission to improve maternal and infant healthcare outcomes in the US.

We're building an electronic health/medical record (EHR/EMR) system tailored to the workflows of obstetricians, gynecologists, and midwives. Our vision is to empower women's healthcare providers to spend less time on admin and more time on patient care with elegant, simple, more intuitive software.

About the role

As a backend engineer, you'll be joining the Product Engineering team, focusing on our systems written in Go.

You will:

• Build entirely new features and maintain existing ones, instrumenting them with monitoring, improving their testability, and ultimately shipping them to our customers.
• Work alongside the CTO to test, validate, and realize product ideas, meeting customers and gaining a deep understanding of the problems our users face and how our product solves them.
• Own large parts of the codebase, have autonomy to make technical decisions, and have significant impact on the final product.
• Learn a lot, ship product, and make a difference in one of the most important events in someone's life.

Requirements

• Excellent written communication skills
• Curiosity for and desire to work on hard problems
• 3+ years working in a compiled, statically typed language (e.g., Golang, Java, Rust, Typescript, C, C++)
• 1+ years working with SQL-based relational databases
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent working experience)

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices (i.e., automated test and deployment pipelines)
• Familiarity with Docker and deploying with AWS's container management and orchestration services
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tooling (e.g., CDK, Terraform, Pulumi, etc.)
• Prior experience in the healthcare industry
• Prior startup experience

• Salary: $140k - $180k
• Equity: 15bps - 50bps
