Tractor Trailer Tire Tech

As a tractor trailer tire technician, you will repair damaged tires of trucks, buses, cars, and other vehicles.

• Repair tubeless and tubed tires
• Repair and replace valve stems
• Operate tire changer machine in a safe manner
• Clean the wheel rims with solution and/or air grinder
• Must be able to differentiate between aluminum and steel rims
• Must be able to determine torque stick size for each model vehicle
• Perform visual inspection of each vehicle
• Put together an inventory list for your work area as needed
• Maintain clean and hazard free work area
• Must be able to speak with customers in a professional manner
• Must have basic math skills
• Must be able to understand and work through verbal and written instructions
• Must have a valid (clean) driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds
• Must be able to work in a very noisy work area
• Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures
