Job Summary:

The Account Executive will engage prospective clientele in the small to mid-market business environment to close new business opportunities and create a strong, continuous sales pipeline. The incumbent will be data-driven, focused on results, and will thrive in a fast-paced and fast growth organization.

Essential Functions: Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Identify business opportunities by locating prospects and evaluating their position in the industry and working in partnership with Business Development and Marketing to advance conversations with qualified prospects; research and analyze sales options based on insights shared by Business Development.
  2. Manage inbound sales leads.
  3. Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; listen deeply to business challenges and employee needs; recommend solutions; and conduct product/services demos.
  4. Represent the company by consistently demonstrating the understanding and modeling of our mission and values.
  5. Strive to exceed goals and objectives, contributing to the organization’s success.
  6. Contribute to team effort by partnering with internal stakeholders as needed.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Proficient with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM tools.
  2. Demonstrated active listening skills and ability to establish rapport.
  3. Strong prospecting, qualifying and negotiating skills with a product-centric mindset.
  4. Skilled in consultative selling, account management and time management.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication.
  6. Ability to work and create a home office environment.
  7. Ability to work closely with internal partners and cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  3. Experience with payment (i.e. commercial cards), fintech or B2B services.
