Position Summary

The Project Manager of Sustainable Communities (PMSC) is an integral member of our Sustainable Communities (SC) team. They will focus on clean energy plans and advancing clean transportation solutions. The PMSC will also be working with a separate non-profit for all clean transportation work, Clean Cities Georgia. Clean Cities Georgia is hosted at Southface and contracts work to the Sustainable Communities (SC) Team.

This position is responsible for managing multiple projects, including the DeKalb County Clean Energy and Transportation Plan, as well as multiple grant projects with Clean Cities Georgia.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist with electrification grant projects and activities.
  • Manage DeKalb Clean Energy and Transportation partners and project timelines.
  • Identify and assist stakeholders interested in adopting alternative fuels, advanced vehicles, and energy efficiency strategies.
  • Educate potential AFV users, industry, and local decision-makers.
  • Obtain commitments from stakeholders to build markets and conduct outreach.
  • Work with local, regional, and national stakeholders; peers; and industry to identify funding opportunities for projects.
  • Understand the reporting and purchasing requirements for regulated fleets and know the local contacts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Environmental Planning, System Engineering, or other related degree.
  • Two to five years of successful project management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple grants and familiarity with grant funding and reporting.
  • Multitasker with the ability to work independently.
  • Adaptable with demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Willingness to seek new opportunities to expand the programs.
  • Exceptional task management and organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative and positive team-building demeanor.
  • Valid driver's license with no major violations.

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexible options.
  • Weekend or evening hours occasionally.
