The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst reporting to the Manager of Finance, SSO.
This position works on-site in Miami, Florida
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the role is responsible for supporting the financial reporting, planning, analysis and control for the People & Outreach team. The focus of this role is to assist in delivering exceptional decision and finance support to the benefits and facilities area of the business, drive the forecast and planning cycles, and provide a strong reporting suite to drive improved business decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Month End
  • Management of all benefits and facilities invoices, ensuring correct approval and coding, tracking and submission to AP Shared services team.
  • Management of vendor set ups for facilitation of payment accounts, investigating overdue payments.
  • Providing support and assistance to the team by investigating and resolving queries with suppliers and accounts payable team.
  • Responsible for invoice tracking.
  • Ensure all monthly accruals and releases are correct and budgets are updated.
  • Support the monthly and yearly closing process.
  • Monthly and quarterly reconciliations of actual spend versus budgeted spend.
Business Partner
  • Assistance with the budget templates specifically for benefits and facilities.
  • Assist Finance manager in reconciling budgets/spends.
  • Monthly review and reconciliation of the budgets by area.
  • Review of the monthly budget, highlighting any risks or opportunities with management.
  • Assist in the analysis of business performance trends and making well-presented recommendations for improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in preparation of management reporting packs.
Forecasting & Budgeting
  • Provide commentary to support variance analysis.
  • Compile cost information to be used in budget preparation.
  • Assist in the consolidation of the annual operating plan/budget.
  • Assist with delivery of accurate financial forecasts in line with the deliverables calendar.
  • Assist in monthly submission of Actuals & Forecast.
Projects
  • Assist in key external & internal projects as required.
  • Assist in business case modelling and analysis.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and implement cost effective solutions.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or finance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum 1-2 years working experience with a commercial business.
  • Sound knowledge of automated accounting software and procedures.
  • Strong initiative, motivation and ability to use initiative as well as take direction.
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify issues and opportunities, suggest solutions and convert to process improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail.
