Make a difference in the lives of students and families in your community! Pasco County Schools invites you to embark on a rewarding journey as a bus driver.
During our comprehensive, paid training program, you'll earn your required CDL with endorsements to become a Bus Driver. You'll start as a Bus Driver Trainee, earning $15 per hour, with an automatic increase up to $17.76 per hour upon successful completion. Full-time positions also include an employer-paid basic health care plan and access to our health & wellness centers with a $0 copay.
Requirements before training:
- Valid driver's license - must have a minimum of five consecutive years of basic driving experience with a clean driving record (We will check)
- Level II Background Screening and Drug Screening
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical Exam
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to completing the training program
- Temporary CDL Permit (if you do not currently hold a CDL with a Passenger and School Bus Endorsement)
- After training completion, pay up to $17.76 per hour
