Job Requirements / Description

Will respond to communications from guests, travel agents, and referral networks concerning reservations arriving by mail, telephone, telex, cable fax, or through a central reservation system. Will create and maintain reservation records usually by date of arrival and alphabetical listing, prepare letter of confirmation and promptly process any cancellations and modifications and perform additional duties that may include preparing the list of expected arrivals for the front office, assist in preregistration activities when appropiate and process advance reservation deposits. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace and used by guests. Duties and responsibilities: 1. Process reservations by mail, telephone, telex, cable, fax, or central reservation systems referral. 2. Process reservations from sales office, other hotel departments and travel agents. 3. Maintain a clean and neat appearence and work area at all times. 4. Help develop room revenue and occupancy forecasts. 5. Make sure that files are kept up to date. 6. Prepare letters of confirmation. 7. Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, managers and fellow employees etc.
