This position is a direct report to the Group Product Manager and has sound knowledge of business processes in the specific area of technology enablement. Senior Technology Product Consultants are the primary facilitators for the product(s). This position is responsible for managing one or more products to meet business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Optimizing the value proposition and anticipating issues and/or complications, and respond well to time pressures.
  • Driving Business Adoption of Technology Solutions.
  • Contributing to the successful development, enhancement and support of various Asset Health and Performance (AHP) Systems such as AHP Analytics, Condition-based Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Ratings & Impedance (RAI) using OSIsoft PI and SQL Server.
  • Customer facing and serving as both a technical SME as well as business liaison responsible for supporting and promoting the adoption of various technology solutions to Utility team members.
  • Leading product teams to deliver business solutions at a team lead level and informally mentoring junior employees.
  • Designing and building solutions; using IT testing tools and methodology, as well as IT Agile tools and methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Working closely with business users and managers to ensure customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Working and communicating with a wide range of people – peers, vendors, staff members, broader functional and business leadership, and others. Consistently demonstrate professional, positive, and approachable attitude, demeanor and discretion.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience in information technology or related field.
  • Without a bachelor's degree, must have 8 or more years of relevant experience in information technology or related field.
  • Knowledge and experience with OSIsoft PI and SQL Server.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and influencing skills. Ability to work through issues independently with successful outcomes.
  • 4+ years of experience managing projects or products in PI and Client-Server Systems.
  • Experience in technical support, troubleshooting, implementing/installing/configuring complex products.
  • Experience in a team lead role or mentoring junior employees through projects and other work experiences.
  • Familiarity with internal or external training with Agile approaches (Scrum or Kanban).
  • General knowledge of most IT domains – Infrastructure, Networking, Database, Security.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate highly technical concepts in a clear, succinct, and relevant way to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Results oriented, data driven, and self-starter.
  • Excellent teamwork, facilitation, relationship building, and negotiation skills.
  • IT experience in the Utility industry.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
  • Agile Certifications with agile methods such as SCRUM, KANBAN, etc.
  • Technical/software certification such as AWS certification, etc.
