**GENERAL DESCRIPTION Under general supervision, to perform heavy manual work involved in the collection of refuse material and in the removal of brush and bulky items from alleys, curb sides, or other designated locations according to established policies and procedures.**SUPERVISION EXERCISED Exercises no supervisionIMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES **Operates equipment mechanism for loading, compressing, and dumping refuse material.Directs the driver/operator in movement of refuse trucks in alleys and street pick up locations.Cut limbs, brush, and related growths, which interfere with the safe movement of vehicles in alleys.Pick up and empty refuse containers into vehicles; return containers to original locations.Collect loose debris and brush piles as required; load into vehicles.
