Position Overview:
Our team is currently looking for a Trackside Support Engineer for a client in the Automotive.
Responsibilities include:
• Part of traveling Trackside Support Group - supporting race and test events.
• Provide trackside engineering and technical support to the client and customer teams.
• Oversee the operation of powertrains in customer racing cars.
• Support objectives for optimal powertrain performance, reliability, and drivability.
• Record and monitor engine performance data, analyze data and report as required.
• Complete additional tasks and projects as required to support Trackside and Project goals.
Qualifications:
• Degree work in Mechanical/Electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Ample understanding of mechanical diagnostics.
• 1-3 years of working in a professional environment, preferably in an automotive/motorsports role.
• Hands on experience with racing powertrains and related mechanical and electronic systems preferred, strong mechanical aptitude.
• Previous report writing and database experience.
• Excellent computing skills, competent with main Microsoft products, data acquisition and analysis software.
• Programming skills: Python, Matlab, C# preferred. Heavy Travel is required.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in team environment and able to work under minimal supervision; ability to be self-directed, detailed oriented who can effectively work well under pressure in a diverse environment.
