We are hiring a W2 Consultant for a Quality Assurance Engineer position (across multiple trading asset classes) within our client’s Corporate Technology group. The client, a global investment bank is looking for a dedicated QA-minded professional, who likes to provide practical solutions. The QA team focuses on testing all software products regardless of their platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs.
PLEASE NOTE : This is a W2 contract role and candidates must be Aegistech’s W2. You need to have a background in Capital Markets / Trading Platforms.
THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will be responsible for testing front-end and back-end of the applications.
- It is hands–on position: you will be required to provide test strategy, test estimation, write and execute test cases, build test automation where it is applicable.
- Additional responsibilities include work closely with the business systems analysts and the application developers, utilize functional design documentation and technical specifications to facilitate the creation and execution of manual and automated test scripts, perform data analysis and creation of test data, track and help resolve defects and ensure that all testing is conducted and documented in adherence with the client’s standards.
THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE ROLE:
- Exposure working with Capital Markets products (Fixed Income, Equities, Repos, Securitized Lending).
- 10-15 years of experience working in a role spanning from Front to Back office.
- Working knowledge with Broadridge Systems like IMPACT, BPS etc.
- Hands on experience in Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Execution and Defect Management.
- Proven track record of stakeholder engagement.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC (Agile and Waterfall).
- Must be able to work and coordinate testing on multiple projects.
- Able to independently review and analyze business requirements; evaluate data sources, business rules etc.
- Hands-on experience in creating and executing test scenarios, test cases, functional testing, regression testing, data driven testing.
- Strong understanding of SQL concepts - in Oracle, SQL Server databases.
- Must have worked with testing tools such as JIRA, Test Rail, TestNG etc.
- Automation experience Java, Selenium, Maven, IntelliJ Idea.
- “Go-getter” attitude.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (preferred).
