General Summary

The primary responsibility of the OE Sales Director is to direct the execution of the Growth Market OE Sales strategy by leading, managing, coaching and supporting staff members who sell Open Enrollment to CCL clients. This individual is also responsible for the oversight of client relationships in the region and meeting region revenue targets. Under the leadership of the Vice President & MD, Growth Markets, this position shares accountability with other regions to meet the Growth Market sales goals and expected revenue contribution to CCL.

The OE Director will serve as a sales role model. Therefore, the OE Director will hold both team revenue accountability and individual > EUR million revenue targets in OE and/or Custom solutions in a defined market given the level of experience and seniority of the role.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Serves primary role of the OE Sales Leader and coach for OE sales team members to ensure their continuing development and individual success throughout the sale process to meet their performance goals.
  2. Provides support for his/her team in sales and account strategy-setting and opportunity response, and problem-solving within existing client accounts.
  3. Supports and implements Growth Markets’ OE strategy aligned with CCL and other Growth market regional sales leaders (ME, India, and APAC)
  4. Work closely with regional and global teams in (not limited to) delivery, operation, and finance to ensure smooth and impactful delivery.
  5. Participates as active member of Growth Market Sales Leadership team.
  6. Work with other leaders in Growth Market, in support of the overall Sales and Marketing business plan, that balances both growth of CCL’s existing long-term clients and proactive acquisition of new clients in support of overall revenue goals.
  7. Leads the OE sales team (including sales of defined segment for in-company OE programs) within a defined region with responsibility for revenue generation to meet targets across CCL’s product lines (can be expanded to include other products in future e.g., license and Passport).
  8. Regionally manages process of capturing client needs and partnering with others to optimize revenue and analyze client satisfaction data.
  9. Manages business development operating expense budget for a specified region.
  10. Provides day-to-day support for sales teams members in strategic client conversions and opportunities.
  11. In partnership with the market Sales Leadership Team, ensures the development of their sales team and access to sales knowledge assets and tools necessary to provide appropriate solutions for clients.
  12. Ensures that sales team and members develop and maintain a portfolio strategy to meet or exceed annual fiscal year goals.
  13. Daily management of sales interface with CRM system and other CCL systems, ensuring high team member utilization in accordance with existing sales policies.
  14. Applies performance management standards to ensure accountability for both forecasting, reporting and revenue generation to ensure Region meets its financial targets.
  15. Manages a sales information reporting process and analyzes client base and usage for specified region.
  16. Represents Regions sales issues with internal CCL partners.
  17. Initiates contact with potential and existing clients along with sales staff (e.g. conferences, demand generation, etc.).
  18. Proactively develops and advances new accounts and relationships that support the region and market strategy.
  19. Hold own target of in defined geography which may include solutions beyond OE given the experience and seniority of the role

Minimum Job Specifications (Requirements)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, related field, or commensurate experience.

Master’s degree preferred.

Experience/Work Background

    • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a sales and/or business development team
    • 5-10 years of senior level business, sales, and business development experience.
    • Currently working in a fast-passed sales environment, and familiar with product sales
    • Relevant work experience from either Gulf region, India, or APAC, and speak one or more local languages.
    • Has managed long and complex sales-cycles and winning business worth more than EUR1M per account
    • Given that Gulf market represents our largest OE revenue, the ideal candidate has Gulf market experience and speaks the local language

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Ability to Coach and Develop Sales Talent: A capable, willing, and active coach for sales professionals.
    • The interest, learning agility and desire to learn CCL’s capabilities across all leadership solutions and practice areas leading to the ability to effectively integrate solutions based on client need.
    • Demonstrated experience as a consultative value-based sales professional in identifying clients’ needs, working collaboratively to develop plans to address the needs, and partnering with other stakeholders to ensure appropriate resources to deliver client results and impact.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and business acumen.
    • Knowledge of the leadership development field is a plus.
    • Strong collaboration, influencing and coaching skills in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willing to travel >25% as necessary
    • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset. Does not shy away from challenges, and willing to try new things which help drive business growth and expand on the CCL mission
