Thank you for stopping by to take a look at the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O role I posted here on LinkedIN, I appreciate it.
If you have read my JD's in the past, you know that I like to add some humor to these things. If you are new to my job descriptions, welcome! Just a couple notes...I am a real person writing this while watching old SNL reruns..in other words, no bots...no AI, just a real person. The reason I mention this is that I pay close attention to two aspects of any role I work on. Those two aspects being a social fit and a technical fit.
So, lets start off with that social fit. Here are some of the characteristics that create a good social fit for this role:
- This is a relatively small environment (roughly 75-80 users) with a relatively small IT team (9 people across the US and UK). So, that ability to function well in a small environment will be essential to success.
- I know the hiring manager for this role quite well. He has an expectation that you are an adult...so, amazing as it sounds, he treats you like an adult. This means that their is limited micro-management here...this means (playing on the mention of being an adult) that you don't need to be micro-managed.
We are putting a few parameters around this role. Those are:
- We are only looking to work with candidates that are within driving distance to Skokie.
- This role is being done in a hybrid manner...but we are going to need you to be onsite from time to time (just like an adult would determine when you should be onsite).
- I can only work with US Citizens or Green Card Holders for this role.
- We are looking for someone that really wants to be hired permanently. So, if you need to go contract to hire, that would be fine. However, if you want to go permanent right out of the gate, that is fine as well.
Here is what we are seeking in this role:
We are seeking that D365 F&O expert that can serve as a Subject Matter Expert and Support Lead. You will be working on troubleshooting issues in that F&O module within D365...this will be a significant portion of your work here. This leads to something rather interesting. If you have tag teamed your experience with some classic Business Analyst skills, that would be great to see. As most people who have been in the D365 (or the ERP space in general) know...a significant amount of your success depends on looking at situations from the perspective of 'what problem are we trying to solve...and then work backward from there'. One of the key things you will be working on, for example, are working with entry & exit integration points to this clients D365 implementation.
Here is what we are seeking in this role:
- At least 3 years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O experience. This experience will also need to be recent (in other words, if it is 4-5 years ago, that will not work unfortunately).
- If you have been a D365 Team Lead, or have been a support lead for D365, that would be ideal for a role like this.
- If you have D365 F&O Development experience, that would be good to see.
- Experience - from an overall ERP standpoint - and a solid understanding of Accounting (AR, AP, GL, FA, Inventory, Reporting), Procurement, Landed Cost, Entry and processing, Warehouse Operations (Pick/Pack/ship/Receive), Inventory Control from both a functional and technical standpoint.
- Any experience with Integration/middleware would be great to see (Jitterbit a HUGE plus, Webmin a HUGE plus).
- Any experience with, Sql, PowerBI, BigCommerce and SalesForce would be great to see.
