Who We Serve
Pacific Clinics serves children, transitional age youth, families, adults, and older adults. We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal eligible individuals and families throughout various counties in California.
Compensation We Offer
- The initial compensation for this position ranges from $31.40 - $38.61 per hour.
- Salary is dependent on commensurate experience above the minimum qualifications for the role and internal equity considerations.
- The salary may also vary if you reside in a different location than the location posted.
- 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, and select Peer Certifications.*
- 7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions.*
- Must meet company policy eligibility requirements.

About our Program: HOPE Drop-In Center: Our drop-in center located in San Jose, California offers a safe haven for youth looking for hope and opportunities. The Hope Center aims to support and empower youth to have the tools needed to be successful adults. We offer an array of services such as: street outreach and engagement, peer support groups, music studio, mental health and healthcare services, education, community garden, laundromat, showers, hot meals, substance use disorder treatment, transportation to and from the center, linkage to other services, and workforce development.
Schedule : Mon-Fri, 10:30am to 7pm
JOB SUMMARY
Works within the vision, mission and philosophy of the agency. Under general supervision, implements the full range of substance use services within the context of the Certified Community Behavior Health Clinic in community, school, and clinic-based settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Outreach and screening
- Participate and support universal outreach activities to increase awareness of substance use among the target population.
- Conduct presentations to various target audiences (e.g., schools, community) to increase awareness of the impact of substance use.
- Conduct substance use screenings and refer to treatment accordingly.
- Support the Drop-In Center and Youth Development:
- Receives, reviews, and processes referrals as necessary.
- Provides referral sources for individuals identified as needing supports through screenings.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Mental Health/Social Services preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in a related field- e.g., behavioral health, social services, homelessness, substance use.
- Drug and Alcohol training and experience required or CCAPP (California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals certification required.
