Position Overview : The primary function of this position is to provide quality service to clients. The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for writing Personal Lines policies, managing existing accounts, and ensuring excellent customer service. This position involves quoting new leads, communicating with underwriters, evaluating risks, processing policy changes, and retaining existing accounts. Additionally, this position will directly partner with the VP to develop & roll out department wide policy & procedures. The ability to work well in a team environment is essential when interacting with clients, co-workers, underwriters, and other external parties.
Work Arrangement : This is a full-time, hybrid position that supports our office located in Westlake Village, CA.
Professional Responsibilities :
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of clients' personal insurance policies, including renewals, endorsements, and claims
  • P rovide quotes for personal lines products, explain coverages, and actively pursue new business opportunities
  • Assist clients through the claims process, acting as a liaison between the client and insurance carriers
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional personal lines insurance products to current clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their personal insurance needs and providing exceptional service
  • Address and resolve any client inquiries, disputes, or issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure all activities adhere to insurance regulations and company policies, staying up to date with California insurance laws
  • Maintain accurate and organized client records using the agency management system
  • Work closely with underwriters, carriers, and internal teams to fulfill client requests and meet sales targets
Qualifications and Requirements :
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a business-related field
  • A valid California Property & Casualty Insurance license
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Personal Lines Account Manager or a similar role within the insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of personal lines products (e.g. homeowners, auto, umbrella, etc.) and policies
  • Proven ability to identify and pursue cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
  • Prior work experience with agency management software (e.g., AMS360, EPIC)
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to resolve client problems or concerns
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and contribute to a positive office environment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship at all times

Pay Range : $65,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
