Dormer Pramet , a leading manufacturer of HSS, high performance carbide round tools and Indexable Tooling, and part of the world leading Dormer Group, has an open position for a Regional Sales Manager to support and grow the Dormer Pramet product lines.

Key performance areas

  1. Develop regional strategic plans for employees, distributors and customers that supports the US and global strategy and vision.
  2. Establish sales goals for direct reports to support objectives set out in annual business plan.
  3. Provide the leadership and guidance to position the sales team for success.
  4. Ensure that the business with stakeholders is conducted in a way which contributes to a positive Image for the Company, while delivering quality and timely work to meet communicated deadlines and timelines.
  5. Develop and maintain an effective network of distributors and customers.
  6. Target new business opportunities and implement strategies to address same.
  7. Driving sales development of new and existing products line through our distributor partners and a target account strategy focused on end user customers offering the greatest opportunities in line with Company sales objectives.
  8. Developing new customers and distribution that would improve overall market coverage/share and penetration of key end user accounts.
  9. Support Key Account Management of identified focus accounts within the region.
  10. Work with Customers and distributors to understand and communicate the customer’s tooling requirements into the Dormer Pramet Product Management organization to prepare for the future.
  11. Interaction with distributors and supporting their tool issues such as recommendations, order follow-up, delivery, quality, etc.
  12. Develop, coordinate & organize the territory design to ensure adequate coverage and growth.
  13. Identify market trends and competitor activities and implement corresponding sales initiatives.
  14. Develop and implement sales strategy, tactics and plan for the region and execute same in a timely fashion.
  15. Maintain and ensure focus on new products and marketing activities in the region.
  16. Attend industry trade shows and conferences.
  17. Direct subordinate employee activities, handle disputes, corrective action and changes in status and provide information regarding job requirements, company policy, rules and regulations.
  18. Develop, select, and motivate key personnel to accomplish business objectives and responsibilities and to prepare them for advancement.
  19. Conduct training and host new product introduction meetings with distribution and customer personnel.
  20. Operate and maintain leased vehicle in accordance with published company policies and instructions.
  21. May perform other functions that may be assigned in support of the company strategy.
  22. Meet established goals for product sales and drive initiatives outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
  23. May be asked to perform other functions that may be assigned.
  24. Comply with safety standards and procedures in customer and customer facilities including but not limited to wearing of protective clothing.
Candidate Profile
  1. A Bachelor of Applied Science degree in a related field is required, with five to eight years job related experience or equivalent experience in a management/supervisory position with a similar industry.
  2. Minimum 5 years sales experience in the metalworking industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of the metal removal manufacturing and distribution.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  5. Excellent communication/presentation skills, oral and written, and effective relationship selling skills.
  6. Highly motivated; Strong organizational skills.
  7. Disciplined self-starter; Ability to multitask and strong problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong customer centric values & service oriented.
  9. Employee must read, write, and speak English fluently.
  10. Employee must be proficient with training and presentation skills to large and small groups.
  11. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  12. Employee must have a minimum of three years of experience with metalworking products.
  13. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations applicable to product applications and sales statistics.
  14. Employee must possess a current driver’s license valid for his/her state of primary residence.
  15. Employee may be required to undergo security clearance screening and obtain it for entry into some customer facilities.
  16. International and domestic travel may be required.
