Position Summary
Line Cook responsibilities are toprepare all hot/cold food items. Be responsible for consistency and qualityproduction and ensure all food is served according to specification.
Position Type and Expected Hours ofWork
This is a full-time benefiteligible position. Operational demands for this position require variations inshift days, starting times and hours worked in a week.
Essential Job Functions
• Prepare food of consistentquality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per dupefrom servers.
• Start food items that areprepared ahead of time, making sure not to prepare over estimated needs.
• Date all food containers androtate as per the SOP, making sure that all perishables are kept at propertemperatures.
• Check pars for shift use,determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set-up. Note anyout-of-stock items or possible shortages. Assists in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return all food items not usedon next shift to designate storage areas, being sure to cover/date allperishables.
• Assist in setting up plans andactions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usageper SOP.
• Assist in prep work ofvegetables and condiments as required for the next shift.
Work Environment
This position will be located ata hotel and primarily work in the kitchen.

• Frequently required to stand,walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach withhands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, orhear.
• Ability to operate, maintainand properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer,slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill.
• Specific vision abilitiesrequired by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand during theentire 8 hour shift.

Required Education and Experience
• High School diploma orequivalent.
• Prior kitchen experiencepreferred.
• Excellent time management andthe ability to prioritize tasks.
• Attention to cleanliness andsafety.
• Must be fluent in English.
