Your success is our success.DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Sets up and operates numerically controlled CNC Mill/Turn Lathes to perform machining operations (turning, boring, facing, threading, milling) from bar stock. Reads process sheets/work instructions and blueprints to determine machining to be performed.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Set up, program and operate equipment as directedComplete customer product requirements as associated with work orderDetermine appropriate tooling/gages for part production/inspectionPerform in-process inspection as required to ensure 100% quality productIdentify discrepancies in estimated setup and run times and resolve with Value Stream LeaderResponsible for document and data control of programs, tool lists, and other related data with respect to job packets and M2M data.Responsible for cleaning and performing general maintenance on equipmentResponsible for maintaining a clean, organized work areaResponsible for stopping production if a part or process problem is identified and notifying leader or quality personnelInitiate nonconforming product procedures when necessaryAssist in training of other machinistsResponsible for identification and elimination of any unnecessary wasteParticipate in corrective and preventative activities as requiredAdhere to Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety policiesResponsible to participate in continuous improvement and associated trainingPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsEDUCATION:Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificateEXPERIENCE:General programming skillsBasic shop math (addition, subtraction, trigonometry)Blueprint reading and GD&T skillsAbility to perform part inspection using inspection equipmentAbility to perform own set-upsBasic understanding of Quality SystemsTechnical trade certification or related experienceDMG Mori NLX 2500/700 with Celos ControlLNS Bar Feeder Quick Load Servo 80Working Conditions:Working conditions are normal for both the administrative and manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds.
