We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Cardiology team. This role is responsible for rooming patients, assisting with patient preparation, and supporting cardiologists in delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Rooming: Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms, ensuring they are comfortable and prepared for their visit.
  • Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and weight.
  • Patient Preparation: Assist patients with gowning and other preparations for cardiac examinations or procedures.
  • Medical Histories: Obtain and document patient medical histories, current medications, and any symptoms or concerns they may have.
  • Equipment Setup: Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
  • Assistance: Support cardiologists during patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with basic instructions and information regarding their visit, procedures, or follow-up care.
  • Documentation: Ensure all patient interactions and care provided are accurately documented in the electronic health records (EHR) system.

Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant - current certification. Graduate of accredited program or apprenticeship program.
  • BLS/Mandatory Reporter training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and cardiology procedures.
