Salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. - Partner with Custodial Platforms and Envestnet on sales and service strategies; build and secure relationships; partner with executives, product managers, marketing officers and event organizers to increase awareness of John Hancock Investment Management and help drive sales.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key home office personnel to communicate sales, marketing and product updates, troubleshooting capabilities and effectively implement the overall sales strategy.
- Partner with marketing, product, platform and sales to position and secure all John Hancock Investment Management offerings on firms' platforms; assess and analyze product placements for sales opportunities.
- Guide internal marketing and product development teams in strategizing and executing national and regional sales campaigns; spearhead major events to increase brand recognition and attract additional revenue; deliver presentations to financial advisors continually and effectively.
- Share National Accounts' initiatives with Senior Sales Management, Business Consultants and Internal Sales Desk; help position strategies, target product messaging and customize value-add programs to focus firms' initiatives.
- Liaison between designated firms, JHIM Sales Management Team, Business Consultants and Internal Sales Desks to provide information pertaining to firm focuses, events and initiatives and identify sales opportunities.
- Actively track and monitor sales trends and identify sales opportunities within designated firms.
- Organize, monitor participation and coordinate pre/post meeting follow-up for appropriate designated firm sponsored meetings.
- Coordinate home office sales visits and annual reviews involving Sales Management and National Accounts teams.
- Coordinate back-office strategy for designated firms to constantly improve service and while meeting the firms' operational requirements.
- Manage and attend industry conferences and firm meetings.
- Support reporting and analysis of data for the National Accounts team.
- 7-10 years of experience in the investment management industry within business development, with at least 5 years of National Accounts experience. Prior experience in relationship management is preferred.
- Experience selling into wealth management channels.
- Knowledge of current and historical developments in the National Accounts space and the evolution of products to provide appropriate positioning of JHIM's offerings.
- Solid understanding of the operational functions of the Custodial, TAMP, RIA industry and platforms.
- Strong business development acumen; relationships with National Accounts collaborators at Custodial firms.
- Highly proficient in the capital markets.
- High degree of integrity with team player mentality.
- Strong work ethic, professional disposition, passion for investments.
- Ability to build relationships and influence people at all levels and functions of an organization.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel 50% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree, FINRA Series 7 license required.
