The Residential & Commercial Acct Manager II is a professional with knowledge of business and sales to generate leads and drives sales while supporting residential and commercial development along with maintaining commercial accounts. Responsible for working with customers to understand their business goals and challenges and provide knowledge of our available services, uncover roadblocks, and provide a strong account management delivery. Responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with existing customers while actively seeking new opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams and technical resources providing important customer request and improving overall customer experience.

  • Actively seek potential customers and maintain an accurate record of all leads in assigned territory.

  • Provides exceptional customer experience, while operating in the company's Account Management Process.
  • Provides accurate monthly forecasts on load and revenues for new projects, while reporting any changes with existing customers.
  • Manages new load and expansion projects, ensuring alignment with the company's Opportunity Management Process.
  • Cultivating customer relationships through phone calls, face-to-face interaction, and proactive service offerings while promoting and establishing yourself as a trusted account manager.
  • Maintains a complete record of customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to better serve customer needs, such as engineering, operations, accounting and legal.
  • Investigate relevant information to prepare reports, summaries, and replies to customer inquiries, ensuring accuracy and proper information is detailed and organized.
  • Provide detailed follow-up regarding all outages and address any customer concerns.
  • Maintain routine internal contact with direct manager to provide updates on assigned customers and assist in making improvement on customer experience.
  • Monitor construction process and serve as liaison between customers and engineering on projects for assigned accounts to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare contractual agreements for new and existing customers and seek lead guidance if needed.
  • Interacts with management on a regular basis both within the business unit and across functions/units.
  • Ensure alignment between the company and the customer on key priorities and items of importance.
  • Attends industry conferences.
  • Supports company events within the territory.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related degree
  • 3-5+ years of experience in B2B account management, new business development (complex sales, outside sales or consultative sales)
  • Effective salesmanship
  • General knowledge of basic electricity
  • Strong business acumen pertaining to the Utility industry
  • Ability to effectively listen and communicate with customers and internal departments
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently to readjust priorities to pressing and changing customer demands
  • General knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of current utility industry initiatives (clean, renewable, HVAC, EV) impacting residential and commercial development
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze engineering and architectural plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple personality types and cultivate buy-in from various departments
  • Step progression levels based on skill proficiency and scope of job.
  • Strong knowledge of leading practices for their practice area
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
  • Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, present ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner
