The Senior Director of Industrial Services will lead and oversee the company's industrial service business, ensuring the effective delivery of fluid management solutions across various sectors. This strategic role involves developing and executing the company's fluid services strategy, driving growth, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. The Director will collaborate with senior management to align departmental objectives with overall company goals and ensure the delivery of superior service to customers.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Essential Functions:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision for industrial services, including market expansion / penetration, service innovation, and customer retention strategies.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the industrial services Operations and Account Management teams, ensuring efficient processes, adherence to safety regulations, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company's market presence and revenue streams in targeted segments. Coordinate with sales team ensuring adherence to a dynamic sales cycle including robust lead generation, effective sales meetings, superior technical consultations, comprehensive sales proposals, and effective closing.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and ensuring the delivery of tailored, high-value solutions. With existing customers, ensure satisfaction with Trucent services and products. High rate of customer retention is expected.
  • Monitor and Analyze Industry Trends: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices within the industry by regularly reviewing relevant publications, attending professional conferences, and engaging with industry networks. Analyze the impact of these developments on business operations and strategy and provide actionable insights and recommendations to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.
  • Optimize the Industrial Fleet Utilization: Implement a multi-faceted strategy focused on advanced scheduling, improving maintenance practices, and leveraging data analytics resulting in exceeding customers' expectations and delivering exceptional value.
  • Identify and Develop New Industrial Technologies: Conduct comprehensive market research to pinpoint evolving industrial technologies that address unmet market needs. Collaborate with the Industrial Solutions senior management team to evaluate and develop these technologies, ensuring they align with strategic goals and offer tangible solutions. Assist in the innovation process from concept through implementation, aiming to enhance competitive advantage and meet customer demands effectively.
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Create and implement marketing strategies that utilize advertising, press releases, promotional campaigns / materials, trade shows and social media to drive the Industrial Solutions objectives forward.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in industrial fluid sales and operations with a minimum of 10 years of management experience. Specific knowledge of metal working fluids is essential.

  • Ability to develop written proposals to capture all critical components of the sale.

  • Perform reading, writing and speaking at an advanced level.
  • Capacity to supervise personnel including training, analyzing talent, and resolving conflicts. Experience managing personnel activities such as hiring, performance evaluations, succession planning and disciplinary actions.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and software skills.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel in North America on company business 50%-70%. Travel will extend to the continental United States, Eastern Canada, and Mexico.
