Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief of Staff to support our CEO in driving Strider's mission to protect the ideals and innovations of the free world. The intention of this role is to help diminish the workload on the CEO's plate. This could include coordinating cross-functional projects, preparing presentation materials, managing meeting schedules with internal and external stakeholders, attending strategic meetings and taking minutes, etc.

The ideal candidate for this role will thrive in the grey space of an agile startup culture - they will take initiative, operate with extreme ownership, and attack problems with urgency.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Coordination:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate external business objectives and relationships on behalf of the CEO.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to ensure that high-priority projects are completed efficiently and are aligned with Strider's strategic objectives.
  • Occasionally prepare written communication and presentations on behalf of the CEO.

Strategic Intelligence Focus:

  • Provide expert guidance on issues related to strategic intelligence, leveraging deep knowledge of global trends and risks that impact technology and innovation.
  • Manage sensitive and complex intelligence requests from stakeholders, ensuring that research and responses are timely, accurate, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the Global Intelligence Team to perform intelligence analysis and provide actionable insights on the threat landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Intelligence Studies, International Affairs, or a related field. A graduate degree and/or five years of professional experience in strategic intelligence or related fields is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic leadership roles, preferably within the strategic intelligence, government, or technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects across multiple teams and functions, with a focus on achieving strategic objectives.
  • Deep understanding of global risks related to intellectual property, targeted talent acquisition, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies to a diverse audience.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Advanced proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
