**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** Acute Rehab Unit
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour nights
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Required - Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
**License:** Active nursing license
**Certifications:** American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
**Must-Have:** At least 1 year of experience in a rehab environment
**Job Description:**
- Protect, promote, and restore health and wellness by collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members.
- Assess and support physical symptoms and provide psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
- Mentor assigned team members, promote best practices, and maintain a professional disposition.
- Work at the highest level of licensure by providing quality competent care and following best practice standards.
- Provide effective leadership in the delivery of quality nursing care by assessing, planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records with accurate, timely, and complete recording and reporting.
- Act autonomously within the care team while delegating responsibilities appropriately and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Create a compassionate, service-oriented environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and caregivers.
- Share knowledge with coworkers and orient new staff, and educate patients and their families to meet their health needs.
- Participate in quality and process improvements to achieve clinical excellence.
- Promote financial stewardship by assisting with cost reduction without sacrificing quality.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, complying with policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Enhance professional growth and development by participating in and utilizing current evidence-based information.
- Advocate for patients and their caregivers to positively influence value-driven and effective nursing care.
- Work in an environment with frequent emotional stress and occasional exposure to hazardous materials.
