**Job Description:**
- The position is for a General Trauma unit and also supports Orthopedic, Neuro, and ENT cases.
- The facility features 6 ORs and 1 Cysto Room with a maximum of 6 rooms running simultaneously.
- Central Sterile includes a decontamination and clean/autoclave room.
- Patient types include General, GYN, Urology, Vascular, Orthopedic, Pediatric Dental (preferred experience, not required), Podiatry, ENT, and Robotics for Gen, GYN, and Uro.
- Patient ratio is 1:1.
- Technology and equipment include Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell for medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors.
- Floating is limited to within the department, specifically to the Holding Room.
- Orientation typically lasts 2-3 shifts, with evaluation to ensure readiness for call shifts.
- Scheduling includes a weekend rotation, with on-call duties one day a week (3 PM-7 AM) and one weekend per month (3 PM Friday-7 AM Monday).
- Holiday call expectations involve taking holiday call if a holiday occurs during the contract, not exceeding one holiday every 26 weeks.
- Shift times vary with several options including 5x8 (6:30 AM-3:00 PM), 4x10 (6:30 AM-5:00 PM or 11:00 AM-9:30 PM), and 3x12 (6:30 AM-7:00 PM) for weekend Friday-Sunday shifts.
- Block scheduling requests are generally not honored during the week, but efforts are made to schedule longer weekends for travelers to visit home during the contract period.
