As a fast-growing company with global operations, we are seeking an FP&A Systems Analyst; the purpose of this of this hands-on role is two-fold:

  • Support global FP&A activities to deliver the long-range plans, AOP, forecasts, performance reporting, and the supporting processes to deliver these activities
  • Work closely with IT and the broader finance team to improve FP&A's utility, effectiveness and efficiency from the BI planning and reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Support the development of financial plans that achieve Saluda's overall strategic goals, including analysis of commercial plans and business drivers
  • Support and continuous development of the long-term planning model and ensuring alignment with the long-term strategic plan and business objectives.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with business unit finance teams to establish plans and assumptions for achieving business targets.
  • Support the development and distribution of KPI dashboards, automating data and reporting while promptly addressing material changes in outlook.
  • Support scenario analysis, modelling business scenarios and developing contingency plans to navigate changes in market conditions.
  • Partner the business where required to develop and deliver on their financial plans
  • Support the delivery of accurate monthly results, forecast and budget pack as well as oversight and distribution of action oriented KPI dashboards.
  • Support the month end processes are relevant, accurate and timely
  • Supports efforts to continuously improve the financial performance management processes, reports and KPI's for the business
FP&A Systems
  • Automation and process improvement: lead and coordinate studies to assist FP&A team in evaluating the potential solutions for automating existing or proposed work functions or processes and assess the feasibility of creating or enhancing systems to meet user requirements.
  • Lead efforts to ensure that FP&A information systems support the FP&A team's objectives and coordinate the process of defining, analyzing and solving problems related to the FP&A systems and special projects.
  • Support from the FP&A stakeholders' perspective, the requirements for related systems projects; ensure a high level of FP&A stakeholders' satisfaction by monitoring the delivery of ongoing information systems to the FP&A team.
  • Analyze new business requirements, customer pain points and gaps, system functionality, current system use and future needs; perform gap analysis between current state and future state; specify functional designs and work with developers and stakeholders to implement.
  • Support the development of system designs for new or enhanced FP&A business systems; determine and document input/output requirements, procedural flow among departments and organizations resulting in end-to-end processes.
  • Support the management of external vendors or partner relationships when working on new system functionality design and implementation.
  • Support the review and approval of FP&A systems development (eg: code review; test scripts; etc.)
  • Independently research and sustain domain expertise on current trends, strategies, and technologies to help move Saluda's FP&A technologies forward
  • Produce high quality documentation of processes and systems
  • Support the performance of system configuration, testing and provide support
  • Undertake project management activities related to FP&A IT solutions
Maintaining an Effective Internal Control Environment:
  • Together with the global financial accounting team, ensuring an effective internal control environment to ensure integrity of the financial information.
  • Strong understanding regarding financial policies and protocol related to internal controls monitoring and compliance auditing.
  • Support global internal controls activities
Key Requirements:
  • Proven FP&A experience in complex operating environments, including delivery of budgets/forecasts, management reports, month end and analytics
  • 5+ years commercial experience in a multinational organisation
  • Solid knowledge of Sales, commercial and market model support and R&D portfolio management
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills, attention to detail and advanced financial modelling
  • Extensive experience BI (Workday Analytics, Power BI, or similar) and ERPs (eg QAD or similar)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high performing teams
  • Experience in a process improvement methodology, for example Lean or Six Sigma
