CULINAIRE is in search for an experienced and seasoned Associate Director of Catering for the prestigious Denver Art Museum. The Associate Director of Catering must be a self-motivated, service-oriented, catering professional with a true passion for the hospitality industry.

CULINAIRE provides upscale food and beverage management services to a diverse collection of national accounts which include celebrated art museums, civic centers, hotels, performing theaters, restaurant and special catering event centers. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Responsible for personal Booking Goals
  2. Assist DOC in development and administration individual Catering Revenue Budget
  3. Assist DOC in producing monthly forecast of performance to budget and plan
  4. Participates in the Guest Comment Card Program
  5. Books group events within the group booking parameters, ensuring that sales progress seamlessly and accurately by following established process and procedures
  6. Up-sells products and services, closing the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs
  7. Gathers and inputs all important customer data in order to plan appropriately (e.g. customer’s goals, specific needs, key account info, etc.)
  8. Closes sales by collecting client deposit and signed contract
  9. Provides accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Coordination and the Food & Beverage team(s)
  10. Manages the Event Coordinator to ensure events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy
  11. Confirms final billing accuracy prior to and then process the final bill
  12. Handles event planning aspects prior to the business turning over for business booked in advance (greater than one year out)
  13. Gains and maintains an understanding of the overall market (e.g., competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc.) and sell against them
  14. Identifies operational challenges associated with a group to determine the best staff and solve challenges and/or develop alternative solutions quickly
  15. With DOC, represents sales department at staff and stand up meetings and report on sales activity
  16. Ensures site inspections/visits; verify that the business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery

What we're looking for:

  • Four (4) years prior experience with proven record of accomplishment in a similar facility
  • College Degree preferred
  • Willing to work flexible hours (i.e. weekends, evenings, and holidays)
  • Must be extremely organized
  • Possess excellent supervisory skills
  • Computer proficient
