Summary

Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, the Director of Quality and Tech Support is responsible for planning and directing the quality assurance policies, programs and initiatives for each region. Manages processes and testing requirements to ensure Company and client quality standards are met in accordance with written specifications, applicable codes, and Kinetics SOPs. Has overall responsibility for preparation and submission of TOPs for all projects. Manage and support ongoing and future fabrication shop needs with support of local operations managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and direct the below listed activities on behalf and in the best interest of the Company.
  • Responsible for the Company’s overall quality program for all regions.
  • Responsible for the Company’s overall fabrication strategy as set forth by corporate and local office needs.
  • Maintains and modifies all Kinetics quality policy and procedures to comply with the latest standards and requirements.
  • Maintains and directs a staff in order to control all site quality control and quality performance for the Company.

Corporate Quality Assurance

  • Support and coordinate all activities required to successfully ensure that Kinetics adheres to internal quality control procedures.
  • Document and report all major quality assurance non-conformance reports or issues to the VP of Operations.
  • Direct and coordinate quality assurance supervision.

Jobsite Quality Assurance

  • Meet and develop relationships with clients and their quality representatives.
  • Confirm and relate client quality expectations to our employees and supervision staff.
  • Understand and direct all quality assurance policies and responsibilities required by Kinetics customers and clients.
  • Confirm every QA/QC Representatives audits each jobsites with regularity to assure compliance with the customer and Kinetics Quality Assurance Program; if action is required, assure immediate corrections are completed.
  • Furnish any necessary quality related documentation to customer.
  • Identify and make provisions for all necessary training for craft employees, on SOP, TOP, Biopharma and/or Industry Specific Processes.
  • Train each QA/QC Representative on company requirements for quality assurance inspections, audits and reporting.

Specifications and Code Compliance

  • Maintain knowledge of each project’s specification and code compliance requirements.
  • Train QA/QC Representative and Project Team on those requirements.
  • If specifications and code compliance involve special training or equipment, make sure company and employees comply with all requirements.

Quality Documentation

  • Maintain and collect information for filing in the Kinetics Corporate Quality Assurance files.
  • Maintain and provide documentation required by customer specifications.
  • Archive documentation required by Kinetics policy and customer specifications.
  • Maintain the Company’s Quality Assurance Program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in engineering, Construction or related field is highly desirable.
  • Must possess an ASNT Level III Inspector, AWS Certified Weld Inspector or ACCP Level III Inspector certification.
  • Candidate should possess a minimum of 10 – 12 yrs. of professional experience, including procedural and technical oversight.
  • It is expected that the candidate will have established a proven track record of success in a Quality Control role in the bio-pharmaceutical, semi-conductor and general industry markets.
  • Experience in a highly complex environment, specifically with an organization that is geographically dispersed, is a must.
  • Should possess a customer network in the industry (construction, with a focus on biopharma, semi-conductor, and/or experience in a related industry).
  • He/she must demonstrate the leadership skills required to effectively manage quality personnel, collaborate with project teams to meet desired profit margins and delivery schedules. Engagement with the customer to maximize the customer’s experience with the Company.
  • Must have great attention to detail, be an established leader, team player and willing to mentor subordinates. Must also be a solid communicator, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to meet financial objectives set by the Company while working within existing budgets.

Working Conditions

Travel required. Works inside corporate office, branch, satellite or job site office(s) when required to perform the work assigned.

Physical Requirements

This job could require sitting and standing for extended periods of time and completing repetitive tasks.

Pay: $160,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
