Senior SDET Engineer

12 Month contract or contract to hire

Location: Onsite role in NYC 4x per week.


Candidates should have a strong background in testing, with a particular focus on electronic trading systems and Fixed Income Markets. We need someone who has worked on Playwright to enhance and extend the existing framework.


Experience we are looking for:

  • Hands-on JavaScript and typescript automation experience using Playwright.
  • Performance and stress testing
  • UI and API automation
  • FIX protocol testing and automation.
  • Strategic thinking, managing multiple projects and understanding of distributed enterprise architecture.
  • Knowledge of Fixed income trading is a plus
  • Knowledge of SSO and token-based security testing
  • Knowledge of OWASP security standards


Core Responsibilities:

Automation & Performance Testing:

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of automated scripts for regression, performance, and load testing.
  • Conduct testing for GUI/Frontend and Backend applications (API, FIX, etc.).

Testing Management:

  • Oversee functional and performance testing of new products.
  • Manage regression testing for existing products during each release cycle.
  • Handle automation, testing, documentation, defect tracking, and information flow across multiple projects.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Product, Go-to-Market, and Support teams to clarify specifications and address issues or concerns.
  • Identify risks throughout the software development lifecycle.

Test Case Development:

  • Write efficient and effective automated test cases and scripts based on specifications and user interactions.
  • Create test scenarios to regression test, test new functionalities, and assess stress conditions (both automated and manual).

Issue Investigation:

  • Investigate production issues by recreating them in test environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams for resolution and coordinate with Application Support for releases.
