The TikTok Privacy & Security Product team is responsible for building compliant and user-friendly privacy solutions for TikTok, with the goal of building trust among TikTok users, regulators, and the public. The team is working on TikTok's privacy-related products, including user/underage protection, data access controls, data retention policies, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Current or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  2. Experience with at least one common programming language in Python, Java, Golang, C++, Kotlin, Swift, etc.
  3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent practical experience.
  2. Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications.
  3. Curiosity towards new technologies and entrepreneurship.
  4. High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.

Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112,000 - $177,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
