Engineer - Contract Analyst opportunity with a client located in the Birmingham, AL area. This contract, potential temp to hire hybrid remote role will be responsible to understand and interpret regulatory orders, agreements, and contractual language for this clients bulk electric transmission business. Position will work approximately 3 days per week in the downtown office location and 2 days working remotely from home.
Responsibilities:

• Work with Microsoft Power BI and-or Power Automate or related work-flow management tools
• Understand and interpret regulatory orders, agreements, and contractual language
• Build effective relationships with peers and customers, as well as resolve customer issues
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required (Engineering or Business degrees preferred)
• Knowledge of bulk electric transmission contracts, federal and state regulations of electric utilities, power systems operations, transmission planning, wholesale marketing, and-or engineering economics is a plus
• Ability to understand and interpret regulatory orders, agreements, and contractual language
• Experience working with Microsoft Power BI and/or Power Automate or related work-flow management tools
• Demonstrated customer-focused mindset and ability to build effective relationships with peers and customers, as well as resolve customer issues
• Ability to balance multiple assignments and responsibilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
