Senior Data Engineer

A large regional bank is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to create and maintain ETL pipelines, models, queries and data scripts. This person will collaborate with data architects, product owners, data scientists and C-suite executives to develop/enhance solutions aligned with the business strategy of the bank.

Salary: Up to $175k base + bonus

Location: Florham Park, NJ (3-4 days/week)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop ETL pipelines, data models, queries and scripts
• Explore ways to enhance end-to-end performance across the entire process
• Contribute to data management policies, standards, and procedures. Identify opportunities for process improvement, including automating manual tasks, optimizing data delivery, and enhancing infrastructure scalability
• Architect and build Cloud-based infrastructure for both real-time and batch ETL processes

Requirements:

• Hands on development experience with: Python, Spark, SQL, Cloud-based ETL tools, Azure Data Factory/Databricks and Snowflake
• Expert level capabilities with: Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ETL interfaces and Data Analytics solutions
• 5+ Years of experience providing data solutions, architecture, design and delivery, in a Data Engineering role within a large financial institution
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field- Computer/Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics
