Pre-Litigation Paralegal Position

Our exclusive client, a personal injury law firm in Mesa, is seeking a Pre-Litigation Paralegal who is well organized, competent, and trustworthy.

Process-Related Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the firm’s owner/partner, you will manage all aspects of a personal injury caseload from beginning to end.
  • Investigate facts and research legal issues.
  • Open new claims with insurance companies and extensively communicate with insurance adjusters and medical providers, collecting medical records and bills.
  • Utilize Filevine case management software; data entry including placing notes into the firm’s client management system; update case files.
  • Balance confirmations on liens.
  • Prepare demand packages for final negotiations: Draft demand letters, handle subrogation, draft settlement statements, and review packages with clients.

Customer Service-Facing Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist onsite guests with a positive, helpful attitude, providing them a professional welcome, going above and beyond in the service approach.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
  • Communicate with medical facilities/providers, provide/receive updates regarding client’s attendance, treatment, and referrals or other special medical needs.
  • Make case-related calls for new and existing clients, update all clients within case-load on a bi-weekly basis, and track case progress.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal focusing on pre-litigation.
  • Strong ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks, with the ability to function in a fast-paced, independent work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a high attention to detail.

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Bilingual in Spanish & English.
  • Prior experience working for a personal injury firm.
  • Experience with Filevine case management software.
