This role is fully remote and must reside in the Chicagoland area and live within a commutable distance to the office.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst role is to support the Financial Reporting Team in providing standard monthly and ad-hoc reporting to various functions within the firm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analysis of financial information as requested by firm management.
  2. Compile financial data for industry surveys.
  3. Prepare and distribute daily, monthly, and quarterly reports to be used and provided to firm management. Ensure accuracy and completeness of reports.
  4. Prepare yearly expense budget for assigned areas. Requires the review of historical trends and new initiatives to establish the appropriate expense budgets.
  5. Provide expense analyses and reports as requested. The data must be prepared accurately and timely based on department guidelines and the specific requirements of the request.
  6. Provide variance reporting compared to budget and prior year(s) financial data.
  7. Prepare detailed analysis of Key Performance Indicators for offices/departments, as necessary.
  8. Serve as a backup on primary responsibilities of other colleagues.
  9. Book check reclasses as needed.
  10. Prepare miscellaneous projects as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  2. Minimum of 3+ years of accounting/finance experience required.
  3. Must live within a commutable distance to the local office required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Large law firm experience preferred.
  2. CPA preferred.
