This role is fully remote and must reside in the Chicagoland area and live within a commutable distance to the office.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst role is to support the Financial Reporting Team in providing standard monthly and ad-hoc reporting to various functions within the firm.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analysis of financial information as requested by firm management.
- Compile financial data for industry surveys.
- Prepare and distribute daily, monthly, and quarterly reports to be used and provided to firm management. Ensure accuracy and completeness of reports.
- Prepare yearly expense budget for assigned areas. Requires the review of historical trends and new initiatives to establish the appropriate expense budgets.
- Provide expense analyses and reports as requested. The data must be prepared accurately and timely based on department guidelines and the specific requirements of the request.
- Provide variance reporting compared to budget and prior year(s) financial data.
- Prepare detailed analysis of Key Performance Indicators for offices/departments, as necessary.
- Serve as a backup on primary responsibilities of other colleagues.
- Book check reclasses as needed.
- Prepare miscellaneous projects as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting/finance experience required.
- Must live within a commutable distance to the local office required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Large law firm experience preferred.
- CPA preferred.
