Are you a Plate or Tank Steel Detailer looking for a new challenge? Do you want to make a switch to the construction industry? T BAILEY is seeking an experienced Steel Detailer to join our small detailing team in the Anacortes, Washington office and help us build some the most impressive steel structures in the Pacific Northwest.
Responsibilities
- Production of detail fabrication drawings
- Work from a variety of design drawings, project specifications, and industry standards to produce fabrication and assembly drawings for use in the fabrication and erection of the projects and products the company supplies
- Work to API 650 and AWWA D100 standards
- Work with Purchasing Department to determine most efficient use of materials
- Maintain project documentation and ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date
- Work with Detailing Department Supervisor to address project specific detailing requirements that will facilitate best use of shop/field equipment and procedures to ensure profitable execution of both the fabrication and erection phases of the project
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience steel plate detailing
- Substantial Job experience and training may be substituted
- A willingness to learn and grown in our industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with the use of Inventor or AutoCAD
