Spencer Ogden is currently supporting one of our clients in their search for an Environmental Compliance Coordinator to join their team in Northern Virginia. This person can sit out of one of these locations:

  • Alexandria, Fairfax, Fredericksburg, Herndon, Springfield, and Woodbridge


Candidates must be comfortable with travel to different sites across Northern Virginia (to the places listed above)- A company vehicle will be provided.


This would start out as a 1-year W2 contract , likely to extend after. Pay ranges from $40-47/hr .



Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Ensures company compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations at various locations in Northern Virginia, associated with our client's Electric Distribution operational teams.
  • Share responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of work sites, to comply with regulatory and company Environmental, Health and Safety standards and procedures.
  • Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers.
  • Support the client's employees and other contracted staff, inspect, or assess, and provide recommendations regarding environmental compliance issues to personnel responsible for compliance tasks and management.
  • Provide environmental training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, spill prevention, erosion, and sediment control and other environmental compliance topics and requirements.


Requirements for this position include:

  • Environmental Field Experience
  • Erosion & Sediment Control and Stormwater Certifications
  • Experience related to environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements for environmental scope and permits.
  • Degree in Environmental Studies, or related field.
