Mortgage Loan Officer
A Mortgage Loan Officer is a banker centered around the development and sales of mortgage loans. Mortgage Loan Officer Responsibilities
- Assists in providing quality loans for the financial institution by underwriting and evaluating residential mortgage applications originated by financial institution personnel, which includes loans originated through our Third-Party Origination agreement.
- Recommends approval of customer applications for residential loans or extensions of real estate loan lines of credit.
- Assists in maintaining, monitoring, and managing the pipeline.
- Assists with overseeing the preparation of accurate loan packages and ensuring on-time delivery to investors.
- Assists with setting rates in conjunction with management’s guidance.
- Very active and involved in the community, with a solid understanding of the local real estate market
- Solidly connected with Real Estate Agents, Insurance Agents, and Developers in the local area
- Thorough understanding of loan underwriting, compliance, procedures, and current consumer/mortgage lending laws and regulations.
- Proficient communication - in person, over the phone, and via email
- Proficient math and computer skills
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and strong attention to detail
- Minimum of three (3) years of mortgage or lending experience.
- Proven track record of production in mortgage lending
